Hunter and print books

How do I use Hunter to find books?

Using Hunter to search for print books

Step 1:  Visit or the Library Homepage - the Hunter search bar is in the middle of the page.
Choose 'Books and more' from the drop down menu.

Step 2:  Type in the relevant keyword or keywords into the search box and click the search button. You'll then see a list of resources that match your keywords:

Step 3:  If the item has a 'Locations' tab this means the Library holds physical copies of the book.  Click on the tab to expand the information about the book.
The call number, highlighted below, will tell you where to find the book on the shelf:

Note: You can also sign-in to Hunter to view more detail about the availability of the item (e.g. whether it is a 1 week or 3 week loan) or to place a hold on an item when all of the copies are on loan to other library users.
