There are multi-functional printer/photocopier/scanners available in the Library and Computer Rooms.
To access the multi-functional devices and the top-up machine, SGUL students should register their ID card on the system.
(NHS staff use manual log in.)
There are charges for printing and photocopying which you can pay for via your printing account .
The latest printing cost details can be found on the SGUL Portal for SGUL staff and students.
NHS staff can ask at the Library Helpdesk for current costs.
Scanning is free of charge.
Instructions for scanning can be found below and on the notice boards near the printers.
There is a top-up machine located in the Computer Rooms next to the Library. Tap your ID card on the reader or manually type in your username and password to check your printing balance.
If the machine does not recognise your card, follow the instructions above to register your card on a printer first.
Members of library staff can top up your account for you if necessary.
Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm
When you send a document to print, you'll need to choose whether you want to print in Black and White or Colour.
- For Black and White choose:
pcmf-01\Secure Mono Duplex
- For Colour choose:
pcmf-01\Secure Colour Duplex
The printers default to double-sided printing, if you want to change this to single-sided do so in the Settings options before clicking Print.
When you send the job to print it will calculate the cost of the printing and ask you to accept it, please do so.
Go to any multi-functional device to release your printing.
Touch-in with your SGUL ID card, or manually enter your username and password (also the option for NHS staff registered with the Library).
Select My Prints on the touch screen, then select the document(s) you want to print and press the Start button.
Note: All of the multi-functional devices print in both Black and White and Colour.
