What can your librarian do for you?

Your liaison librarian is available throughout the year to provide specialist help and support with the Library's print and online resources.

  • One-to-one support for staff and students.
  • Information skills sessions: practical training for all on a range of information literacy skills.

Training, support and advice on:

  • Using St George's Library
  • Using Hunter and other resources to find information on your topic
  • Evaluating resources to use in academic work
  • Finding quality information on the internet
  • Citing and referencing, including managing your references with RefWorks
  • Using social media for learning, teaching, research and organisation
  • Keeping up to date professionally and academically using online tools

We regularly run information skills training workshops.
