The Study Skills Handbook. 5th Edn.

Section B (chapter 13-15) focuses on academic writing tips. Page 268 has a  helpful comparison chart between 'critical analytical writing'  and 'descriptive writing', which is a great starting point for students wanting to upgrade their writing to L7 standards.

Succeeding with Your Master's Dissertation

Chapter 8, 'Writing up your findings', provides examples of how to demonstrate data description, analysis and synthesis in practice, with written examples to show this level 7 writing technique put into context.

 

Inside Track to Successful Academic Writing

At level 7, students will be expected to write in their own voice, chapter 11 of 'Successful Academic Writing' explores how to find your own voice, gives examples of this and gives exercises for you to find and practice writing in your own voice.

Reflective writing for nursing, health and social work

Chapter 1 helps to outline the difference between undergraduate and master's level.

Chapter 5 focuses on writing at level 7.

Chapter 6 goes into how to get your writing published
