You are expected to include citations and references in your academic work. St George's institutional referencing style is Harvard, based on the guidance in the book Cite Them Right (11th edition) by Pears & Shields (2019).
There are plenty of copies available in the Library or use can use the online version below (see the video tutorial below).
Login with your university login at Cite Them Right online to guide you through the referencing process. Our Harvard referencing guide - PDF also offers some quick reference guidance for commonly used sources.
Some IMBE courses may offer students opportunities to use the Vancouver style of referencing for some assignments. See our Vancouver referencing guide - PDF for tips on how to use this referencing style.
Remember: there are many different versions of Harvard, so to ensure you are referencing your work correctly you should only follow the guidance in Cite Them Right or resources produced by the Library.
Students can download free copies of Microsoft Office apps on up to 5 devices. Includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint and can be backed up on OneDrive.
See our instructions on how to download (university login required).
