Library Services for Trust Staff

St George’s Library provide resources and services in support of a range of Trust activities including quality improvement, clinical governance, evidence-based practice and research. All St George’s staff and students on placement are welcome to join and use St George’s Library, as well as our satellite library at Queen Mary’s Hospital, and to make use of the electronic resources we provide in order to support the QI Programme.

Library services - what we do

• Evidence searching - we can carry out searches for you, using healthcare databases and / or high quality internet resources as appropriate. Click here to request a search.
• Ebooks  and printed books – access our library of ebooks and books via Hunter, the library search engine. Ebooks require an OpenAthens username and password
• Document supply - we can order copies of books and articles from other libraries
• Training - we can provide training to help you use your NHS OpenAthens resources, find good evidence or do critical appraisal
• Current awareness – we can set up alerts to help you keep up to date.
