Your OpenAthens account

OpenAthens

NHS OpenAthens is an authentication account which allows NHS staff in England access to a wide range of quality health and social care information resources online including: databases, e-journals and e-books. OpenAthens accounts are freely available to NHS staff and you can use your account to access the resources from anywhere via the internet.

How to Self Register

NHS staff can self-register for an account at: https://openathens.nice.org.uk

  • When registering ideally you should be logged onto an NHS or library computer, if you are using an external computer you should use your trust or nhs.net email address to confirm your eligibility.
  • Once you have created an account, you can manage your account details (e.g., change your password, organisation or email address) in the hub area of your account.
  • If you have forgotten your password you can reset it here.

If you have any queries regarding NHS OpenAthens please contact the local OpenAthens Administrator at liaison@sgul.ac.uk or  020 8725 5433.
