NHS Library Essentials

A guide to library services and key resources for NHS staff

Welcome to St George's

St George's Library provides a full library and knowledge service for all NHS staff from our affiliated trusts St George's University Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust and South West London and St. George's Mental Health Trust. Join via our online registration form, or visit in person with your staff ID, to access printed book and journals and a variety of electronic resources including healthcare databases and electronic journals.

The main library is based at St George's, 1st Floor, Hunter Wing.

There is also a self-service Library based at Queen Mary's Hospital, 1st Floor, Jasmine Suite.

Opening Hours

The Library is currently open:
8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

The main helpdesk is staffed between 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

 

 

The Computer Rooms are currently open:
8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

There are currently 2  computers linked to the NHS network, from which NHS staff can print for free. To book, contact the library helpdesk. NHS staff can also use the university computers.  Ask at the library helpdesk for a university network login.

Library Map

The library and Computer Rooms are on 1st floor, Hunter Wing.

There are a range of study spaces available:

  • Computer Rooms
  • Silent study space
  • Quiet group study space

Code of Conduct

 

No food is permitted in the Library.

Drinks (in lidded containers) are allowed.

Mobile phones: you can use the silent functions only, please do not make or receive calls in the Library.

Please respect others by observing the specific rules displayed in the Quiet and Silent study areas.
