My Reading List Guide

Guide for module leaders to create reading lists using My Reading List powered by Leganto software

Installing the Cite-It tool - to easily add links from the Internet

To install the Cite It tool, you need to be in My Reading List on your Canvas module.  Click the drop-down arrow next to your name and select Cite It. A new window will appear with a Cite it button.  Drag and drop the Cite It button directly into your bookmark bar. Now you can close the window and access the Cite It button on your browser. You are now ready to add resources. The video below shows you where to find the Cite It tool and how to use it.

Using the Cite-it tool

You can add a range of resources from the Internet using the Cite It tool.  These include websites, videos and articles from online journals or links to sources from Google Scholar.  If you are adding a link to an online article, you will see an alert letting you know whether the full content is available from the Library.  If the item is not available, add it to your list and then select the digitization request option to ask the Library to create a digital copy of the citation.  For more information on digitization, please see the Adding resources from Hunter video.
