Requesting a book that is not currently int he Library collection

To request a book that we don't currently have in the Library, contact your Liaison Librarian.

For IMBE staff, contact Zena Ali

For Centre for Allied Health (CfAH) staff, contact Anna El-Jouzi

Your liaison librarian will notify you when the book is available on Hunter, so you can then add it to your reading list.

Electronic books are available on Hunter within a few days of ordering.

Physical books take more time to arrive and be added to Hunter.   

Requesting a journal or database or other e-resource not available in the Library

Journals and databases and other e-resources usually require an ongoing subscription.  To make a request, please contact your liaison librarian with details of the following:

  • Resource Name
  • Importance
  • Course/module required for
  • Intended use

The Library Services team will investigate the request including considerations such as cost, technical requirements and compliance.  This information is then reviewed by the Library Leadership Team on a termly basis and decisions will then be communicated.
