Vancouver Referencing

Basic instructions on how to reference using the Vancouver system

Referencing Essentials Canvas Unit

The Library has developed a Referencing Essentials Unit on Canvas, which will teach you the principles of referencing. The first video from the Unit, embedded below, introduces the essentials of referencing and why it is used.  The second video, also embedded below, covers plagiarism and how to avoid it.

The best way to avoid plagiarism is to use numbered in-text citations, plus a numbered reference list at the end of your work where each numbered reference contains full and accurate details that follow the Vancouver system.  Using Cite them Right to format your references to the Vancouver system will help you.
